7 Ways To Help Ease Stress

Stressed? Yes, me too. We all suffer from the S word at sometime in our life and the modern world that goes on 24/7 just resukts in added pressure that none of us really need.  I’d never say generations before us didn’t have stress but it was a different stress.  We have the internet that brings so much information and images in to out lives and all too often very ‘perfect’ images that when the surface is scratched are anything but perfect.  Nobodies life is perfect yet the press and social media make us feel like we muct have perfect lives or we are nothing more than a failure. There is Tired, Then There Is Fatigue

As I was scrolling through social media today I saw this: I have a number of chronic illnesses and have had for over 30 years and fatigue really is the worst thing to deal with. It’s not feeling like you have only had 6 hours sleep instead of your usual 7, it’s just too hard to describe unless you have actually ever been there. To do lists are a big part of my life as I have realsied that I get so much more done is I take the time to plan what I’m doing.  Being self employed it is even more important for me to plan my time and from this plans make an actionable to do list on a weekly, then daily basis. I find writing specific and actionable lists is far more productive and I break things down in to smaller action points.  I am more of a paper and handwritten person that electronic apps, although I do keep an electric list of things I need to do most days and…

    5 Day Self Care Challenge

Too often in life we put the needs of others far higher up our priorities than we do our own needs.  However, in the long run this isn’t good for us.  Constantly putting others needs before our own physical, mental and emotional needs will leave us feeling tired and often emotional.  All that happens will be that we are unable to care for those we love in the way we want to and everyone will end up feeling strained. Self care is so important not just for ourselves but also for those around us.  As the saying goes ‘you can’r pour from empty’ and if we don’t take time for ourselves…
